Rain delayed the start of day three of the fourth Ashes Test between England and Australia at Old Trafford.
Play has been scheduled to start at 11:00 BST on Friday but drizzle usually means the covers are around.
Together with England awaiting restart on 23-1, tracking by 474 the weather has been set to improve from around 13:00.
Even the series is now tied at 1-1, but victory for Australia in Manchester this week will soon see them keep the Ashes.
Batsman Steve Smith scored a 211 to allow before England opener Joe Denly fell for four, Australia to announce on 497-8.
Rain also shortened day one but the forecast is for dry weather throughout the weekend.
